As part of a module with a focus on material and textile design, developed in collaboration with the Mammut Sports Group AG, I designed a duffel bag — a hybrid between a holdall and a backpack. The concept was driven primarily by a clearly defined USP.

The interior was divided into three distinct zones. The lower compartment (1) accommodates bulkier items such as footwear, the central section (2) provides generous space for garments, and the uppermost zone (3) features a dedicated pocket for smaller essentials.

The exterior design follows the same principle of tripartition. The guiding question throughout was how to communicate the USP as clearly and effectively as possible through the visual language of the product. The conclusion was that the three compartments should be visually distinguished on the outside through a deliberate use of colour blocking — making the internal logic of the bag immediately legible from the outside.
